Ozzy Osbourne

John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne (born 3 December 1948) is an English singer, songwriter, actor and television personality. He rose to prominence during the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath, during which he adopted the nickname "The Prince of Darkness".

Osbourne was fired from the band in 1979 due to alcohol and drug problems, but he went on to have a successful solo career, releasing eleven studio albums, the first seven of which were all awarded multi-platinum certifications in the United States. Osbourne has since reunited with Black Sabbath on several occasions.

Beastie Boys, Ozzy Osbourne, Nine Inch Nails cancel SXSW appearances over coronavirus concerns

They join major companies such as Netflix and Facebook to pull out of the event Beastie Boys, Ozzy Osbourne and Nine Inch Nails have cancelled their appearance at  South By Southwest (SXSW) Festival 2020 in Austin, Texas due to coronavirus concerns.

The three artists were set to participate in the festival’s film section. Beastie Boys were scheduled to discuss their forthcoming documentary Beastie Boys Story, which was directed by Spike Jonze.

Meanwhile, Osbourne was slated to promote his self-produced documentary Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne, and Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross planned to lead a keynote speech on HBO’s Watchmen series, which they scored.
