BBC's Strictly's Zara McDermott leaves rehearsals early for hospital dash with Sam Thompson
ok.co.ukStrictly Come Dancing star Zara McDermott was forced to leave rehearsals early to accompany her boyfriend Sam Thompson to hospital.
The former Love Island star, 26, is partnered with Graziano Di Prima on the show, with the pair finding themselves in the bottom two for the second time on Sunday evening.
However, Sam revealed that Zara rushed out of a Strictly rehearsal to be by his side after he had to go to hospital. Speaking with Pete Wicks on their Staying Relevant podcast, Sam told Pete: “You came to me when I thought I was dying and you literally were there for me.” Pete replied: “Despite knowing there was nothing wrong with you”.
Sam then revealed how Zara had supported him through a recent hospital trip, explaining: “Do you wanna know something worse?' “I made Zara leave her Strictly training early to come and see me at the doctors and it was just for the guy to go, ‘Yeah, you're fine’.” The couple have been working hard to make their schedules work as Zara takes part in the BBC dance show.
