BBC's Prince Philip coverage receives highest number of complaints for TV programming ever in the UK

Figures from the corporation show its coverage of the death of the Duke of Edinburgh last Friday has drawn 110,000 complaints to date.

The BBC cancelled its planned schedule following the new Prince Philip had died at Windsor Castle, aged 99, on April 9. High profile shows such as EastEnders and the MasterChef 2021 were axed in favour of special news and tribute programmes on BBC One and BBC Two.
