Police confirmed the tragic news on Saturday, The Liverpool Echo reports.Officers were called to Brackenwood golf course, on Bracken Lane in Bebington following the discovery.The baby was found in a wooded area near the golf course, a spokeswoman for Merseyside police confirmed.Forensic officers have been at the scene since about 4.25pm on Friday afternoon.The force said it is not clear at this stage how the infant died, how long he had been there for or what the cause of death was.An extensive search of the area has now been carried out by specialist officers and an investigation is ongoing.A post mortem is due to take place on Monday.Get the latest updates.
