The findings have been released after nearly a decade of employers automatically enrolling their employees into workplace pensions and highlighted how just 27 per cent of people are confident they know what a "good" amount is to have in their pension for someone their age.
Four in 10 (39%) workers aged 40 to 54 have pushed thinking about retirement to the back of their minds. More than half (59%) of employees would be open to receiving pension planning support at work to help them identify how much they need to pay into their pension to live well once they retire.
