Armed cops swoop on 'disturbance' in street in Elgin

Armed police have swooped on a street in Elgin amid reports of a 'disturbance'.Cops were called to the incident at Findhorn Court around 6.30pm on Wednesday April 22.Firearms officers have surrounded an area in a residential street.A large cordon has been set up around a property.The nature of the 'disturbance' is currently unknown.The public have been asked to keep clear of the area.Officers remain at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called to the Findhorn Court area of Elgin around 6.30pm on 22 April following a report of a disturbance and officers remain in attendance."The public are asked to avoid the area as officers work to bring this to a safe conclusion."
