Anthea Turner has spoken of her relief after finally getting her hands on HRT medication to relieve symptoms of menopause. The television presenter, who tragically revealed earlier this month that her mother had passed away, spoke candidly of the medication's "ridiculous" shortage and said if she were to wait two more weeks, she'd be "panicking".

In a post shared to her Instagram account on Tuesday evening, the 61 year old wrote: "Hallelujah !! finally been able to pick up Estradiol from my local Chemist, another 2 weeks and I'd have been panicking," she began in the caption.

Anthea continued: "All seems to be coming through now, and let's hope we don't have to face this ridiculous situation ever again." Anthea added: "It did get me thinking though, that although in my opinion, HRT is the menopause Holy Grail, we can't take it and forget about our overall health, so if you're in the preimenopause /menopause there's never been a more important time in your life (apart from pregnancy) to reconsider food and exercise." The star reflected on her own habits, adding: "I also take a small selection of supportive supplements.

I've always done my research on supplements staying with good manufacturers who use the very best ingredients. "Somewhere in the 90's I discovered Naturopath Alfred Vogel and bought his book 'The Nature Doctor' his Echinacea has taken me unscathed through many a winter cold season, and these days I use his Magnesium rich Menopause Support for wellbeing @avogeluk_health." In her Instagram picture, Anthea was seen smiling for the camera as she held up a pack of Alfred Vogel's menopause support. "Remember the menopause isn't just about hot sweats, some women never even get these, but about balancing our hormone.
