Casper, a two-year-old tomcat who arrived at the Millstream Animal Shelter in Newton Heath in mid-January, is said to have taken his owner's death 'really hard and is completely withdrawn grieving and bewildered'.

In a post on Facebook the shelter wrote: "He has the saddest face and there seems nothing behind his eyes."He does let you stroke him but there is no reaction."He needs a very quiet, very loving home."You'll need a lot of love, time and patience to help him get over his grief.
