THE Simpsons writer, Marc Wilmore, has died aged 57 after contracting Covid. Marc, who was the brother of comedian Larry Wilmore, passed away on Sunday after battling the virus and several other health issues.

Larry tweeted: "My sweet sweet brother, Marc Edward Wilmore, passed away last night while battling COVID and other conditions that have had him in pain for many years. "My brother was the kindest, gentlest, funniest, lion of an angel I’ve ever known.

I love you little brother." Marc is best known for being a writer and co-executive producer on The Simpsons from 2002 until 2015.
