The government last night announced that Leicester had become the first UK city to go back into lockdown.Following an apparent spike of coronavirus cases in the city, Health Secretary Matt Hancock said that restrictions will tighten for those living in the city - despite having been eased for only a matter of weeks.One of the biggest changes to restrictions has been that to shopping rules, and it has given us an idea of what a local lockdown could look like for the rest of us if it were to happen.In a statement yesterday, Mr Hancock said: "We’ve decided that from tomorrow, non-essential retail will have to close."From today, all non-essential shops in Leicester and its surrounding areas have been forced to close their doors, just weeks.
