A woman giving evidence at Alex Salmond's trial has told the court that she was scared of him finding out she had made a complaint about him.

She was being cross examined by Salmond's defence agent Shelagh McCall QC at the High Court in Edinburgh where the former first minister is facing allegations of sexual assault.

Woman H has told the court about two alleged incidents.McCall asked Woman H if she contacted an SNP official in November 2017 with her allegations against Salmond because she “didn’t want Alex Salmond to pass any future vetting process” within the party to run for a parliamentary seat.Woman H said she was concerned for other women who might work with Salmond.She said she gave the SNP official handling her complaint an
