British radio presenter Adele Roberts was visibly tearful as she scooped a gong at Diva Awards ceremony at the Waldorf Hilton Hotel in Covent Garden on Friday night.

Adele, 42, was clearly taken aback by winning the prestigious award and was noticeably overcome with emotion as she went up to the stage to be presented with the Diva Choice Award that was chosen by the Diva Magazine team.

The former Big Brother star was diagnosed with bowel cancer last October and she has been open with fans about her surgery and chemotherapy as she continues to battle the disease.

Adele Roberts fans were left heartbroken after her girlfriend Kate Holderness shared a montage of the presenter receiving treatment for bowel cancer in hospital. The Radio 1 presenter, 42, was diagnosed with the disease last October and has been open with her experience of surgery and chemotherapy as she continues her recovery.
