cocaine worth around £80million has washed up on the shores of the British coast.Stored in waterproof bags attached to life jackets, the drugs are thought to have floated to the UK from South America.Packages full of drugs were found across beaches on the south coast on Monday morning.Passers-by spotted the bags bobbing in the sea near Hastings, in East Sussex, and called police.More bags were then found later that day around 30 miles along the coast at Newhaven. The National Crime Agency (NCA) said samples from the bags tested positive for cocaine, but a full forensic examination will be carried out to confirm what makes up the substances.Did you know you can keep up to date with the latest news by signing up to our daily newsletter? We send.
