Plane Castle in Stirling has been graced by royalty including Mary, Queen of Scots and Prince Charles. But it's now open to common folk who dare enter, with a listing on Airbnb - at a cost of roughly £1,000 a night.
The castle's ghoulish interior has been the subject of debate on social media since a picture of one room was posted. Actor Rick Carr uploaded a spooky photo of his single bed - with two axes placed above his head.And he wrote from his @rscarr account: "We are all staying in a castle.
And this is my room for the week "The castle is placed in a rural location and is split into two buildings which can be rented out separately or together.Both the tower, built in 1449, and the manor, built in 1523, can be hired, with a minimum booking requirement of three nights at a cost of £3,206.Rick's tweets have gone viral, with thousands commenting their thoughts and feelings on the unusual accommodation.One user said: "I would rather sleep outside.
