WILL Smith has defended slapping Chris Rock in his Oscars acceptance speech saying: "Love will make you do crazy things". The actor was slammed for not apologising for the shocking moment he stormed the stage after the iconic standup comic made a joke about Will's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
Later, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum won Best Actor for his role as Richard Williams in King Richard. But despite many thinking Will would say sorry to Chris in that moment, Will instead appeared to explain why he did what he did. "Richard Williams was a fierce defender of his family,” Will, 53, began his speech.
