Wales boss Rob Page says he is joining Steve Clarke ’s campaign for a FIFA rethink on World Cup qualifying cautions that could yet cost Scotland’s Qatar dream.
Scotland boss Clarke has called for Europe’s play-off hopefuls to gang up on the game’s global governing body and force it to scrap the harsh rules which left eight of his key men walking a suspension tightrope against Denmark on Monday night.
The Scots boss saw his side survive the showdown with Kasper Hjulmand’s side without any of his under-threat stars collecting the second booking which would have ruled them out of March’s play-off semi-final.But with cards carrying over, Clarke faces another sweat if his side march on to reach the Final.
