Vanessa Anne Hudgens (born December 14, 1988) is an American actress and singer. After making her feature film debut in Thirteen (2003), Hudgens rose to fame portraying Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical film series (2006–2008), which brought her significant mainstream success.
The success of the first film led to Hudgens' acquiring a recording contract with Hollywood Records, with whom she released two studio albums, V (2006) and Identified (2008).
Vanessa Hudgens is walking back comments she made about the coronavirus pandemic on social media following a backlash from followers, who accused her of being insensitive.
The former High School Musical star took to Instagram Live on Monday (March 16, 2020) and insisted it is “inevitable” people are going to die as the COVID-19 virus rages on, prompting fans and critics alike to blast the actress for her “heartless” remarks. Hudgens also complained about the possibility that quarantining could continue until July.
