Unlucky Parklife fans say festival has 'absolutely ruined their day'

A presale for the Heaton Park festival started at 10am but within 20 minutes, all weekend tickets had sold out. The festival was completely sold out in 78 minutes, according to co-creator Sacha Lord, who said it 'highlights the need for people desperate to socialise for their mental health'.

Fans said they found themselves in a virtual queue of 40,000 within seconds of the presale beginning. Organisers said yesterday that 250,000 people had registered for the presale, with more than 112,000 successfully bagging a ticket.
