The victim, named in the tributes from family and friends as Phil, died in a crash at the junction of Bayley Street and Bridge Street in Stalybridge on Sunday night.

A grey Ford Focus failed to stop at the junction and collided with an Audi A3, police said. Emergency services were scrambled to the scene but sadly, a man - an occupant of the Focus - was pronounced dead.

Following the tragedy, the family and friends of Phil, also named 'Oggy' by his pals, have covered the scene of the crash with heartbreaking tributes.
