Paramedics and police crew were on hand to help the 46-year-old presenter, who was testing out the Lamborghini Diablo – capable of speeds of more than 200 miles an hour – in the Yorkshire Dales when he lost control earlier this month.
Now it has been revealed that the Lambo initially failed its MOT and was deemed unfit for the roads on 1st May this year. The Daily Star report that the car's owner needed to shell out to replace the windscreen wipers and issues with drive shaft joints, with the car passing a re-test three days later.
