Dundee United are trying to clinch a six-figure deal for Tony Watt before the Premiership restart. The Tannadice side has been locked in talks with Motherwell over the weekend and are pushing to get the move sealed ahead of their home clash with St Mirren on Tuesday night.
A deal still has to be finalised but it is believed that terms could be sealed over the next 24 hours. United had previously agreed a pre-contract to sign the Premiership ’s top scorer Watt from the summer.
