Joe Exotic
Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage (born March 5, 1963), better known by his stage name Joe Exotic, is an American former zoo operator, internet personality, musician, and convicted felon. The former owner and operator of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park (a.k.a. G. W. Zoo) in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Maldonado-Passage had claimed to be the most prolific breeder of tigers in the United States. He twice unsuccessfully ran for public office, first for President of the United States in 2016 as an independent, and then for Governor of Oklahoma in 2018 as a Libertarian.

Tiger King's Joe Exotic has been hospitalised for coronavirus

© Getty Joe Exotic According to the Mirror, prison sources have confirmed that the star of Netflix's hit show Tiger King Joe Exotic has contracted coronavirus and is now in hospital.

This comes after he was recently placed in coronavirus isolation within a prison medical center. Joe, who's birth name is Maldonado-Passage, was an exotic animal zookeeper and has gained overnight fame following his role in the docuseries.

He was reportedly moved from Oklahoma's Grady County Jail to isolation in a Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth, after various other inmates at the jail tested positive for Covoid-19.
