Joe Exotic
Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage (born March 5, 1963), better known by his stage name Joe Exotic, is an American former zoo operator, internet personality, musician, and convicted felon. The former owner and operator of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park (a.k.a. G. W. Zoo) in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Maldonado-Passage had claimed to be the most prolific breeder of tigers in the United States. He twice unsuccessfully ran for public office, first for President of the United States in 2016 as an independent, and then for Governor of Oklahoma in 2018 as a Libertarian.

Joe Exotic Documentary ‘Surviving Joe Exotic’ To Air On Animal Planet

There’s another Joe Exotic documentary on the way. Animal Planet will release a new special based on the former zoo operator and the animals who were rescued from the G.W.

Zoo, titled “Surviving Joe Exotic”. It was shot four months before Exotic was arrested for murder-for-hire charges. RELATED: Report: Joe Exotic Released From Isolation, Moved To Prison Medical Facility Exotic is asked in the new trailer why he did what he did, insisting you wouldn’t make the move into the business for the money.

He even got a gun out at one point to scare a bird away. The never-before-seen footage was filmed in 2018 for Animal Planet’s “Wolves and Warriors” and will include interviews with former G.W.
