The 'rainbow' sheep lifting spirits in lockdown

A flock of sheep have been spreading cheer in lockdown and now they're aiming to 'baa' for NHS and key workers. The sheep live on a small working farm in Stacksteads, near Bacup in Lancashire, with their owners Emma Jackson and James Greenwood and their children.

One 'extra special' young ram, Miles, has had a rainbow and a love heart painted on his fleece. Emma said: "So many families have been out on their daily walk taking pictures of the rainbow sheep. "I can see their smiles from the house! "The kids have been so excited to see them. "I think it's lovely to give farming a little bit of enthusiasm from young people and lift local spirits." After a difficult birth, Emma didn't think Miles would survive.
