Tesco has issued six important rules every customer should follow at stores in Scotland amid a supermarket crackdown. The supermarket giant has joined Morrisons, Sainsbury's, Tesco, Waitrose, Aldi and Asda to bring in a raft of tough new restrictions in a bid to curb the virus.

Tesco's changes come after retailers were urged get tough on rule-breakers after critics claim safety measures were not strong enough to stop the spread of Covid-19.

It comes as Nicola Sturgeon banned click and collect services from non-essential retailers and ordered takeaways to bar customers from entering to pick up food.
