Taylor Swift released her hit new album Folklore last week and her collaborator Aaron Dessner just posted a text exchange they had while writing the tracks! “Looking back at @taylorswift13′s text with her original voice memo of Cardigan…still surreal…a special edition of the song with the voice memo (which has alternate lyrics) is available thru Thurs.

7/30 only on her web site and iTunes,” Aaron posted on his Twitter account. Well, fans can’t help but notice the exchange between them, and they’re pointing out the timestamp that Taylor actually texted Aaron a voice memo of the song we now know as “Cardigan.” It looks like Taylor basically (nearly) completed the song, and then sent it to Aaron in the middle of the night after 2 am!
