‘Jeopardy’ host Ken Jennings ‘flirts’ with James Holzhauer on-air: ‘Keep it in your pants’
returning champion James Holzhauer had a rather flirty exchange Friday during the “Jeopardy! Masters” tournament. The saucy nerd banter between the two men occurred after contestant Matt Amodio chose a question under the “Authors” category.“The Detroit Free Press said ‘The Mummy’ was ‘vintage’ this novelist; ‘elegantly erotic & full of enchanting terror,’” read the clue.Amodio buzzed in with the answer “What’s Stoker.”Jennings, 48, declared that the answer was incorrect and after the two players failed to chime in, revealed the answer to be “Anne Rice.”“I also refer to James as ‘elegantly erotic but full of enchanting terror,’” the 48-year-old host said.Holzhauer, 38, retorted to the quip, saying: “Keep it in your pants, Ken.”The rather flirtatious exchange caused Mattea Roach — another returning champ — to cover her mouth as she started laughing out loud. But Holzhauer — who came in second to Jennings in the highest winnings during regular-season play — wouldn’t let the remark die.“We actually had to pause taping so Ken could take a cold shower,” tweeted Holzhauer later that day with a clip of the exchange. The Post reached out to Jennings and Holzhauer for comment.Fans of the game show were divided about how they felt about the spicy exchange.

‘Wheel of Fortune’ contestant loses trip to Hawaii on massive mistake
A “Wheel of Fortune” contestant lost out on a trip to Hawaii after failing to solve a seemingly simple puzzle in Thursday’s episode of the popular game show.Contestant Antoinette Myers started off the episode’s “Prize Puzzle” strong guessing four “T’s” for $600 each in the “Song Title” category before going on a hot streak and guessing nine correct letters which included the purchase of three vowels.During the streak, Myers had also raked in three large prize wedges of $3,500, $1 million, and the XL wedge which acted as the large wedge number of $3,500 and brought her total puzzle winnings to $13,600.Myers was able to get the first three words and part of the last word to have the board show “TWO TICKETS TO _ _ R_ _ ISE,” before the Englewood native made the fatal mistake of guessing the wrong vowel.“I’d like to buy a vowel, ‘U,'” Myers asks as Vanna White reacts to the crushing fail while the buzzer sounded off.Myers reacted with a playful but disappointing “ahh” as her fellow contestants attempted to hold in their laughs to her misfortune.Contestant Erica Johnsen followed Myers and she was able to easily guess the correct phrase, “TWO TICKETS TO PARADISE.”As Johnsen claimed victory on the puzzle, she was awarded with two tickets of her own to paradise, or in this case Maui, where she won a trip to the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa plus $5,000 in cash, a combined total of $13,200.Myers didn’t keep any of the money she collected during her hot streak, nor did she get to keep the million wedge because of her failure.

‘Jeopardy!’ champion Buzzy Cohen reveals secrets about show taping, buzzer and more
Buzzy Cohen, the champion best known by his nickname “Mr. Personality,” which was handed down by late host Alex Trebek, revealed that his famous nine-day winning streak actually only took place over the course of two days. The music executive told Insider that “Jeopardy!” tapes five shows — a week’s worth — in a single day with breaks long enough to allow winners to change outfits between tapings.Cohen, who took home over $164,600 after playing 10 games in 2016, said the process was “exhausting.”“That is certainly something that I think people are surprised by,” he said. “It really makes the fact that people can go on these long runs even more impressive because it’s endurance as well as mental and physical stamina.”The secret is just one of five Cohen shared with the outlet and plans to expose in his new podcast, “This Is Jeopardy! The Story of America’s Favorite Quiz Show,” a Sony production that was launched Wednesday.Cohen — who returned to win the 2017 Tournament of Champions for the $250,000 jackpot before guest-hosting the program four years later in the wake of Trebek’s death — said the show explores how “Jeopardy!” became an American institution and has enjoyed 59 years of success. The podcast aims to take fans behind the scenes, including from Cohen’s own experience playing on and hosting the program. When he guest-hosted the Tournament of Champions in 2021, Cohen was surprised to find how busy the host is despite not getting much airtime.“What’s kind of surprising is how little you’re maybe on-screen, but you are reading the clue, calling a contestant, making a ruling, asking them to select,” Cohen told the outlet.
