The 54-year-old said the charges amounted over a five-month period, but were all posted through his letterbox on the same day earlier this month, the Mirror reports.
He only found out about the fines when his stunned wife Lisa, also 54, told him that more than 50 letters had arrived - with the penalties adding up to £6,350.However, the dad-of-three claims that he has a permit which allows his Tesla to use the route without penalty - and the fines have been issued incorrectly.This lead to John to fire off emails corresponding to each letter to Hounslow Council, who he claims would not accept a blanket response.He said: "It's ridiculous, no warning or anything.
No letter to say you've been caught on camera driving on this road and we don't think you should be.“It’s incredible. Imagine if I was someone really vulnerable.
