Stoned lorry driver seriously injured two police officers after smashing into their car

police officers with serious injuries after ignoring a lane closure and smashing into the back of their stationary car. The crash happened on the A1 near Colsterworth, east of Melton and just north of the Rutland-Lincolnshire border in November last year.

Christopher Swain, who was high on cannabis at the time of the accident, pleaded guilty to two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and one count of being over the driving limit for cannabis, according to Leicestershire Live.

The 38-year-old from St Peter’s Road, Stowmarket, Suffolk, appeared at Lincoln Crown Court on Tuesday, LincolnshireLive reported.
