Stirling looks set to reduce grass cutting in public spaces.Council officers are to develop a strategy which could lead to less maintenance of grass areas to encourage biodiversity, and reducing or eliminating pesticide use.The move is being made after members of Stirling Council’s environment and housing committee heard from local group On The Verge.The group launched an online petition, attracting more than 1,500 signatures, and sent a letter backed by 16 local and national environmental organisations calling for the council to drastically reduce the number of annual cuts and time the rest carefully to allow flowers to bloom and feed pollinators such as bees emerging from hibernation.The group argued that over time savings made by.
