Netflix has revealed the latest trailer and news of a new podcast for Space Force, the new Steve Carell-led comedy series heading to the streamer soon.

WASHINGTON — The real chief of the U.S. Space Force said on Wednesday he had hoped actor Bruce Willis would have played him on the upcoming Netflix show lampooning the military’s newest branch of service – instead of comic actor Steve Carell.

Netflix has debuted the very first Space Force trailer, the new original series which is being led by Steve Carell. The series will come to the streaming service later this month on the 29th May.

The Netflix drama features The Office actor Steve Carell as the head of Space Force which is a part of the US Armed Forces. The trailer shows that the United States appoints a four-star Air Force officer Mark R. Naird played by actor Steve Carell to head the team of scientists and officers which will allow the United States to dominate space in every way possible. But, the twist in the tale is that this is a comedy-drama which will see a not so interested Air Force officer transferred to Colorado to head the newly constructed team to operate the sixth branch of the United States Armed Forces, which is pretty unusual in nature.

Steve Carell has revealed the “atypical” origins of new Netflix series Space Force, saying it was presented to him with “no idea aside from the title”.

Friends star Lisa Kudrow is set to play Steve Carell’s TV wife in new sci-fi comedy series Space Force.

We’ve just heard that Lisa Kudrow is amongst the cast of a new Netflix-based Steve Carell-led comedy called Space Force. The series already looks like it is in the can with a release date set for the streamer for May. Kudrow, an alumnus of the legendary sitcom Friends will play the recurring role of “Maggie Naird,” the wife of Steve Carell’s General Mark R. Naird. Maggie is a Washington Air Force wife who has sublimated parts of herself to her husband’s career for two decades. But as he takes on his biggest challenge, she is growing in a different direction.
