Scots school pupils plan protest at SQA headquarters over 'postcode lottery' exam results

Glasgow over their 'postcode lottery' exam results. Teenagers are expected to gather in the city centre on Friday over accusations pupils were downgraded because of their school's past achievements than personal predictions.

Scots pupils had an exam-free academic year after schools were closed during the coronavirus pandemic. It comes after the pass rate for students in the most deprived areas was reduced by 15.2% from teacher estimates after the exam board's moderation.

Parents and pupils hit out on social media claiming they had been unfairly targeted because of their school's location, not their ability.

Youngster Erin Bleakley told Glasgow Live : "We're intending to hold a peaceful protest on Friday outside the SQA building on Robertson.
