pubs will be able to open for longer if England’s semi-final clash against Denmark goes to extra time and penalties tonight.
Under current coronavirus restrictions, pubs in Scotland must close at 10.30pm if they are in a level two area, with a closing time of 11pm set for level one bars.
But the Scottish Government has introduced temporary measures to allow pubs to stay open for longer if Euro 2020 knock out matches cannot be settled within the regular 90 minutes.
Guidance issued by the Government states that pubs can remain open until 11.30pm at the latest to ensure that fans can catch the final moments of the game inside pubs safely.Pub bosses must use the end of the game as a marker to begin winding down - with an additional 15 minutes.
