Scots ‘knifeman’ tasered by cops after attempting to stab police officer in St Andrews house

police officer narrowly escaped serious injury after a knife-wielding man attempted to stab him with a blade. Cops were sent to a property on Abbey Park Avenue in St Andrews, Fife, at around 1.50pm on Tuesday, December 8.

Medical staff had called for help to deal with a 45-year-old man who is understood to have been experiencing mental health difficulties.

During the incident, the man tried to stab the officer with a bladed weapon - but thankfully struck his body armour meaning he escaped uninjured, a source has said.
