Scots dogs could suffer separation anxiety after lockdown, experts warn

The coronavirus outbreak has meant dogs have been treated to constant companionship at home. But pet owners are being warned that their dogs could develop separation anxiety when life goes back to normal if they aren't given alone time during lockdown.

UK charity Dogs Trust has revealed that there will likely be a "ticking time bomb" of behavioural issues post- coronavirus when people return to work.

If your dog is normally left alone during the day, the charity is urging owners to continue to leave them for short periods so they don't "lose" the ability to cope.
