Scots funnyman Eddie Large has tragically died after contracting Coronavirus. The 78-year-old passed away alone in hospital on Thursday morning, his heartbroken son has confirmed.
Eddie, who was born in Glasgow, was best known for his part of the comedy duo Little and Large alongside fellow funnyman Syd Little.
His son Ryan McGinnis paid tribute to the comedian, who found fame with Syd in the talent show Opportunity Knocks in 1971. Ryan wrote: “It is with great sadness that Mum and I need to announce that my dad, Edward Mcginnis, passed away in the early hours of this morning."He had been suffering with heart failure and unfortunately, whilst in hospital, contracted the coronavirus, which his heart was sadly not strong enough to fight."Dad
