Scots binman dies of covid after wife spends hundreds of pounds on protective equipment

But tragically the 52-year-old passed away after an 18-day battle against the killer virus at Ninewells Hospital, in Dundee.

He was surrounded by his heartbroken family in the intensive care ward at the hospital.Scott was well known across central Scotland and worked at the Crieff Recycling Centre, North Forr, for nearly 30 years.He was described by his heartbroken family as “the best dad and papa”.Speaking from the couple’s home, Scott’s widow Fiona said: “I have a cleaning company, and I had to buy him hundreds of pounds worth.
