However, it’s not only the name that has changed. It appears that one of the four leading ladies won’t be returning, as Kim Cattrall, who plays Samantha Jones, isn’t included in the upcoming series.
Despite her absence from And Just Like That, Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays Carrie Bradshaw, has insisted that Samantha Jones will not be recast.
SJP’s comments come after one fan suggested that the sex-crazed Samantha should be recast by Jennifer Coolidge, however, she said that the character’s story ‘isn’t part’ of the new series.
