Samuel L. Jackson is going to be one of the recipients of an honorary Oscar! On Thursday (June 22), the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that their Governors Awards will be returning in 2022, after a year off because of the pandemic.

The Academy also announced the list of honorees, including the 72-year-old actor, that will be receiving honorary Oscars at the ceremony. Click inside for the list of honorees… Along with Samuel, fellow nominees will be actress-writer-director Elaine May and actress Liv Ullmann. Danny Glover will be presented with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.

None of the four nominees have ever won an Oscar in the competition. Samuel received a Best Supporting Actor nomination for his role in Pulp
