Salford man appears in court charged with stabbing of 13-year-old boy

Manchester Magistrates Court, Mr Davies, of Salford, spoke only to confirm his name, address, date of birth and nationality.

No pleas were entered. A bail application was made on his behalf, but bail was refused by the district judge.The charges arose out of an incident on June 24 when police were called to reports of a teenage boy being stabbed in the leg.The court was told that the 13-year-old, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, sustained a serious leg wound but has since been discharged from hospital.Mr Davies was remanded into custody and will next appear at Manchester Crown Court for a pretrial hearing.
