A man has been arrested following a disturbance at a block of flats in Rutherglen on Wednesday night. Officers from Police Scotland rushed to Chapel Street around 7.45pm after reports of concern for a man inside a property.
At least six police cars were seen in attendance at the scene. When specialist police arrived at the address a 40-year-old man "created a disturbance.
Officers could be seen carrying shields for their own protection as they removed the male from the property. He was believed to be wielding a hammer at one point, with police setting up a cordon as a precaution.He was arrested and charged and will appear at court at a later date.
