ok.co.ukRonan Keating’s wife Storm, 39, has opened up on her terrifying health ordeal, which saw her rushed to hospital for emergency spinal surgery as she had a “very bad prolapsed disc”.
However, the situation became much more serious when Storm, who is a mum-of-two, was diagnosed with cauda equina syndrome. Cauda equina syndrome is a rare and severe type of spinal stenosis where all the nerves in the lower back become severely compressed.
It can lead to loss of sensation, incontinence and paralysis if not treated immediately. Storm shared a lengthy post to her Instagram in which she detailed her ordeal, alongside a picture taken from her hospital bed in which her hospital bracelet can be seen on her wrist and she wears a hospital gown.
