Pubs set to remain closed for five more months under latest lockdown restrictions

And pubs could be the last businesses to reopen, with ministers understood to be looking at the first bank holiday in May as a possible date.

A source told The Sunday Times : “The May Day bank holiday is more likely the moment you see pubs reopening.” It's another blow for the hospitality who were last week told they were no longer permitted to sell takeaway pints under the latest lockdown rules.
