Giving cute nicknames to family members is a form of expressing love for them.The royal family are the latest to show their adoration for the youngest member of the Cambridge household. Prince Louis, four, is called "Lou Lou" by his elder siblings Prince George, nine and Princess Charlotte, seven.The elder siblings have used the adorable nickname for their younger brother for the past few years now. Friends of the young royals also use nicknames when referring to George, Charlotte and Louis who are respectively third, fourth and fifth in line to the throne.

Prince William is an avid football fan, and as president of the FA, it’s unsurprising that he attended Euro final on Sunday. After watching the England Lionesses historic win, which saw them beat Germany 2-1, the Duke of Cambridge stayed around to congratulate the players and hand out their medals.

Over recent months, Prince William has stepped up in his role as a senior member of the royal family and has been spotted representing the Queen at numerous events, including at the final royal garden party at Buckingham Palace. And as second-in-line to the throne, the Duke of Cambridge’s royal engagements have given members of the public a good insight as to what kind of monarch he may be in the future, a royal expert has said.

It’s no secret that members of the royal family are ones for tradition. From the regal titles they inherit to the Christmas festivities they enjoy together, tradition and the royal family go hand in hand. But throughout the years, as things modernise and as the younger members of the family have children of their own, various royals have been spotted breaking away from tradition.

Princess Charlotte stole the show during a rare outing alongside her parents Prince William and Kate Middleton earlier this week. As she joined her doting mum and dad while on a visit to the Commonwealth Games, seven year old Charlotte could be seen showing off her cheeky side by sticking her tongue out as she cheered on the competitors at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre. And as she got stuck into the celebrations, Prince William could be seen laughing and joking with his daughter and at one point was pictured comforting Charlotte as they supported the athletes.

Princess Charlotte is already getting into the swing of her royal duties.Kate Middleton and Prince William's only daughter made a surprise appearance at the 2022 Commonwealth Games on Tuesday alongside her royal parents, marking the first time she has joined them for a public engagement without either of her two brothers. Sporting a striped black-and-white dress with a Peter Pan collar, the youngster was hard to miss sitting with her parents in the stands of the Sandwell Aquatics Centre for the swimming competition. The princess seemingly enjoyed her day out as she was photographed smiling with her mom, reacting to the competition and giving her dad an enthusiastic thumbs up. Some very special guests are in attendance today.
