Police seized a massive £7.5m-worth of fake goods during the biggest ever raid on Manchester's 'Counterfeit Street'. The haul - removed in two articulated lorries - included bogus YSL, North Face, Nike, Boss and Valentino clothing - plus cheap counterfeit perfume and aftershave.
As reported in the Manchester Evening News , more than 100 officers from Greater Manchester Police and the City of London Police’s Intellectual Property Crime Unit (PIPCU) executed warrants at three premises in Great Ducie Street, yesterday (Wednesday).
The aim was to disrupt the sale of fake goods and to gather intelligence to help identify the 'Mr Bigs' behind criminal business.
