Police appeal for information after food contaminated in Sainsbury's store by men who licked their hands

Police are appealing for information after two people walked in to a supermarket and contaminated food by smearing their hands over it.

Officers say two people went into the Sainsbury's store on Lancaster Road in Morecambe before licking their hands and wiping them over meat, fresh produce and fridge handles.

The store had to be thoroughly disinfected and staff were forced to destroy the produce. The incident happened at about 1.45pm on Saturday April 4.

Lancashire Police have now released CCTV footage of two people they would like to speak to. One is described as aged in his early 20s, white, black hair, facial hair, wearing a black jacket black tracksuit bottoms and grey trainers.
