Plan to suspend Bolton pavement licences for England games 'criminalises' football fans, blasts MP

Since hospitality reopened in April, a number of pubs, bars, and cafes have been granted licences to serve customers in the street.

However Bolton Council has made the decision to suspend these licences for two hours before, and two hours after, each England game at the tournament, which starts on Friday (June 11).

The Town Hall claimed that this followed conversations with Greater Manchester Police, in the interest of public safety. Yasmin Qureshi, MP for Bolton South East, has written an open letter to the council's chief executive
