Perthshire humanitarian hero is urging fellow Scots to join a fundraiser – to walk, run or cycle 154km over 31 days – to aid some of the 11 million Syrians forced to flee their homes.
Those people who left Damascus travelled that distance to reach the Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan, to escape the brutal conflict brought about by the Assad regime which has killed more than 500,000 Syrians.
Craig Cowan (32), from Blairgowrie, is an aid worker at the camp for Edinburgh-based charity Mercy Corps.
