Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter.Cops hunting a hit and run driver in Edinburgh who struck a six-year-old boy say they have been left with damage to the car.The youngster had been walking across the pedestrian crossing at the city's West Approach Road at around 4.40pm yesterday when he was hit.As we reported last night, the cowardly driver of a grey Skoda Fabia car had failed to stop.Emergency services rushed to the scene and the child was taken to hospital.He is being treated for facial injuries.Police are appealing for witnesses to get in touch and say the car was damaged on its nearside fog lamp and nearside mirror.Sergeant Peter Scott, of Edinburgh Road Policing Unit, said: "We're
