'Yellowjackets' Season 2: Everything We Know About New Cast Members, Filming and More
is the hit survival drama that unfolds over two timelines: one in the past, when the high school soccer team’s plane crashed in the Canadian Rockies, forcing the stranded teenage girls to do anything to survive; and another in the present, picking up with four adults, who managed to make it out alive nearly 25 years earlier. After an explosive debut, which earned seven Emmy nominations, Showtime renewed the series from creators Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson for another season. And as anticipation builds for the new episodes, here’s everything we know about season 2:  Season 1 starred an ensemble cast, with Melanie Lynskey and Sophie Nélisse as the adult and teenage versions of Shauna, respectively; Tawny Cypress and Jasmin Savoy Brown as the adult and teenage versions of Taissa; Juliette Lewis and Sophie Thatcher as the adult and teenage versions of Natalie; as well as Christina Ricci and Sammi Hanratty as the adult and teenage versions of Misty.Other initial survivors included assistant coach Ben Scott (Steven Krueger), the late coach’s two sons, Travis (Kevin Alves) and Javi (Luciano Leroux), as well as team members Jackie (Ella Purnell), Van (Liv Hewson), Lottie aka the Antler Queen (Courtney Eaton), Akliah (Keeya King), Laura (Jane Widdop) and Mari (Alexa Barajas). While Laura died trying to take off in a small prop plane early on and Jackie froze to death during the season 1 finale, fan-favorite Van survived being mauled by a wolf.

'Yellowjackets' star Melanie Lynskey opens up about being body shamed during 'Coyote Ugly' movie
Melanie Lynskey joined her fellow "Yellowjackets" co-stars for a new interview where the actress discussed the body shaming she experienced early in her career while filming "Coyote Ugly."  Lynskey played Gloria in the 2000 comedy about a songwriter Violet Sanford (played by Piper Perabo) who gets a job at an NYC bar run by women.  Tawny Cypress, Juliette Lewis and Christina Ricci were the others participating in the interview with The Hollywood Reporter where Lynskey discussed her experience filming "Coyote Ugly."  When describing the beginning of her career playing the "best friend from Jersey" in "Ugly Coyote" she told the outlet. "I was already starving myself and as thin as I could possibly be for this body, and I was still a (size) four."  Lynskey continued and said "that were already people putting a lot of Spanx on me in wardrobe fittings and being very disappointed when they saw me, the costume designer being like, ‘Nobody told me there would be girls like you.’ Really intense feedback about my physicality, my body, people doing my makeup and being like, ‘I’m just going to help you out by giving you a bit more of a jawline and stuff."
